After graduating as a dental surgeon from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, he quickly recognized the systemic challenges facing healthcare infrastructure and the wider public health ecosystem in Nigeria. This led him to shift focus to areas such as business strategy, logistics, Infrastructure and revenue generation, applying his skills to improve operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and optimize procurement processes in both healthcare and corporate sectors.
A skilled strategist, Dr. Abiola played a pivotal role in the Nigerian emergency response during the COVID-19 pandemic. His leadership in coordinating the procurement of critical medical supplies, setting up response frameworks, and ensuring the smooth distribution of essential resources saved lives and alleviated the pressures on frontline healthcare systems on the sub national and national levels.
